Those of you who remember me from a few years ago, know that when I was 14 (and, coincidentally, at the height of his last media attention), I was totally in love with Michael Jackson. I loved his music, loved learning about him... there's still a bunch of stuff about him on my wall at home. Not because I'm still that creepy, I assure you, but because I haven't taken it down.

Yeah, I know - I was quite a bit creepy then. I admit it.

But now, according to reports, Michael Jackson has died. I almost didn't want to make this post just in case it turned out those reports were wrong, but what the heck - if they were wrong, I will re-date this post for when it is true.

What can I say? I really liked his music. That's the number one thing. I don't think I can add much more than that. There's nothing much more to say. I didn't know him personally. He didn't directly affect my life at all. But, you know, I genuinely liked his music.

RIP, Michael Jackson. Your music was pretty awesome.

Suz wants to have another practice day soon, but she doesn't know when (as yet). If anyone wants to get something done, let me know when you're available.

ETA: Suz is free next week on Wednesday and Thursday. How does that sound to you guys? Which would be more convenient?

ETA Part 2: It'll be Thursday at 12pm, for any of you who are keen.

Also, anyone who is available to be an underarm model for Suz on Wednesday, can you let me know very soon, please? She has someone else that may be able to do it but she's got to let them know in time. <3

Suz needs an underarm waxing model for her Wednesday class - she needs to resit the underarm portion because her previous model was unable to have underarm waxing done.

If anyone is available, please let us know. :)

Just a headsup; appointments for waxing, tinting, etc are happening at the TAFE tomorrow from 2/2:30. If you want, you can make an appointment and specifically request Suz to do you.

If you didn't want to do this, Suz does need practice so if you want to come around to my house on Saturday any time after 9am, you can come around and get leg wax, eyebrow wax, brow and lash tinting, lip waxing or arm and underarm waxing, please come around and get your body messed with (in a good way, that you consent to), and hang out and eat lunch.

Let me know in advance if you're planning to stop by so we can work something out and we know what to expect. :)

If you don't have my address, then let me know and I'll get in touch. Thanks!

Update on this post...

Suz still needs a model on either the 3rd or the 10th, but it has been changed to both underarm and bikini, not either/or.

  • 23:06 @liveoutloudster FiranMUX. My character got married about 2 and a half IC years ago, and about an IC year ago his wife just vanished. #
  • 23:08 I hate when an author introduces a plot thread near the end and then abandons it. It means either he gave up or he wants to write a sequel. #
  • 23:20 Also, I do hope the book doesn't have a sequel. I'd rather read fanfiction explaining the plot thread than have the 'trilogy' reach ELEVEN. #
  • 01:00 Haha, mav out of nowhere. Logged and blogged: [Help] Ion says, "Yes, size does matter" #
  • 20:56 @filbypott You don't think he got that rich by SPENDING his money, do you? #

  • 22:34 @filbypott Gi from Asia, Wheeler from N. America, Linka from Eastern Europe, a... guy from Africa, and Ma-Ti from S. America, right? #
  • 23:16 @filbypott Yeah? I knew she was originally from the USSR but I only started watching after she was identified as "eastern europe". #
  • 09:56 @rainbowdarling I squeed for ages when there was a minor character in a TV show with a 'Kelly Linwood' nametag. That is awesome. #
  • 10:34 People are peeking over my shoulder and watching me Twitter. I never thought I was that interesting. #
  • 10:43 @rainbowdarling This is like the time with the McDonalds manager who saw me Twitter and so knew I was being honest. Only less weird. #

  • 22:57 I just ran over my toe with my chair. :/ I feel stoopid and clumsy. #
  • 23:07 @rainbowdarling It kind of bled a lot and still hurts a bit. Mostly, though, I just can't believe I ran over my toe with my computer chair. #
  • 00:15 Okay, so I joined LibraryThing. #
  • 00:21 @rainbowdarling Yeah. So far I've added 72 books, and that's pretty much it. #
  • 00:46 @starfall To be fair, some of them are "Family" books, not really mine. #
  • 01:55 Good grief I am actually phenomenally tired. It is two AM but still. #
  • 15:36 #twitterpornnames Ariel Argyle / Rosie Rosemary. I was born on Rosemary Row but don't remember, and we had Ariel and Rosie at the same time. #
  • 15:37 I am apparently a million years behind on celebrity gossip. I didn't even know that Sarah Jessica Parker was married to Matthew Broderick. #
  • 15:48 Quick guys - what's the best name: Lilith, Sylvia or Emily? #
  • 16:04 @filbypott That's hot. Ariel Argyle makes me sound like I'm from schoolgirl porn, so I feel you on the subject of specialities. #
  • 18:40 @liveoutloudster Well, @filbypott and @jackslack said Emily, but I guess you're closer to my target audience, and I was leaning Lilith... #
  • 18:55 @filbypott I told my friend's mother that you'd turn gay for Michael J Fox or Ann Coulter, and she could not stop laughing. #
  • 19:54 GOD I HATE THAT BEGA AD. THIS IS A PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT FROM JESS. #
  • 20:14 If the official title of the show is Talkin' 'Bout Your Generation, why does the host keep calling it TAYG for short? #
  • 21:53 @filbypott You know what bugged me about Captain Planet? There was no Planeteer from Australia. #

  • 17:29 We don't even have copperheads here, and I know you don't pick them up to show them to your kids. Especially when you are pregnant. #
  • 18:08 Eating prepackaged frozen pasta that isn't terrible. What is the world coming to? #
  • 18:48 @filbypott To be honest, I don't know much about rattlesnakes either. I do know that you shouldn't pick them up and show them to people. #
  • 18:51 @filbypott As far as I'm concerned no legs + scales + teeth = don't touch it, it can probably kill you. Comes with the Antipodean turf. #
  • 19:09 @filbypott That's good to know. I don't think I'll just start picking them up, though. And also - while pregnant? To show your kids? #
  • 19:12 And up until today, all I'd ever heard about copperheads was "they are venomous". And that was in Trixie Belden. #
  • 19:49 10:30 - 3 and 11:30 - 2:30. Just for my reference. #
  • 21:56 @liveoutloudster I really like it. I use it for my WoW blog. #

Funniest thing happened at work today. We found a bunch of bags of frozen chicken, purchased from Harris Farm Markets, hidden in the indoor plants at work. No one could figure out why.

jessnarrikk @xstarfall I know, right? I didn't order a morning of drama with a side of eldritch horror.

xstarfall @jessnarrikk Glad to hear it. Pocket dimensions can be very inconvenient if they make up their minds to be. :)

jessnarrikk Story has a partly happy ending; the manager gave me a coffee and said he trusted my timekeeping. My computer is not in a pocket dimension.

rainbowdarling @jessnarrikk I hope they've given them to you now!

jessnarrikk "Excuse me, I sat here and Tweeted about my experience here and have proof I waited 20 minutes for hash browns. What do you intend to do?"

jessnarrikk Don't look at me like you ~*~know~*~ I'm lying, McD's employee. It's either been 20 minutes, or my computer is in a weird pocket dimension.

jessnarrikk I want to go and complain about not getting my hash browns in 15 minutes, but I don't want to leave my laptop unnattended. (Obviously.)

rainbowdarling @jessnarrikk It happens, though. I used to have to put cards in the safe all the time when I worked at Walgreens.

jessnarrikk I ordered. I called Dominos to find out if they had my card. I logged onto Twitter and Tweeted that I had lost my card. Still no McDonalds.

jessnarrikk @rainbowdarling I'm 99% sure I LEFT IT AT DOMINOS LAST NIGHT. I'm not sure anyone can imagine how positively stupid I feel.

jessnarrikk Also I freaked out and went to McDonalds until the store I left my card at opens. I SAW my food come up. No one has brought it to me yet.

rainbowdarling @jessnarrikk That's really the worst feeling in the world. Did you find it?

jessnarrikk I don't think I've ever experienced fear worse than the gut-wrenching moment of, "Shit, where's my bank card?"
